November 27, 2017 A Week to Be Greatful For

This week has been full of some powerful experiences. One of them being meeting Cassie West- a former from last year who has still been reading from the Book of Mormon the entire time missionaries have been gone! She truly is amazing and is preparing for Baptism! :)
Zone Conference and Return and report also were a blast. It is crazy to realize that Sister Vest and I have been companions for almost a full month!!! Soon it will be Christmas and I know that that will bring blessings.
Something cool that Sister Vest and I had a discussion about after listening too a Hank Smith talk was- Unconquerable spirits. we discussed how you CAN do hard things, but not alone. We all need the savior who is the ultimate unconquerable spirit. In the scriptures we are told that Satan has power, he is able to bruise our heels and make life miserable to keep walking. BUT, if we are on the Lord's side, then we are promised the power to Crush Satan and continue walking on the pathway of righteousness.
People today have bused heels and sit down feeling hurt and alone- the almighty physician can bandage the heel and help each person get back up onto sturdy ground. That is why missionary work is so important (we can all me missionaries). A missionary can stand represent the Savior and be the 'nurses' who will aid in the healing process. A missionary will seek those who are blind to how to help themselves, and provide spiritual lenses as to view there life. They also can help people put on the Armour of God to better protect there heels from Satan's harm.
I know that there is power in Studying the Scriptures and making sure that we are in top spiritual shape before going out everyday into the world. I hope that this week as the starting of the #lighttheworld, we all are able to look beyond ourselves and become unconquerable!
I love you all!!
