Katelyn Elgaaen in Utica New York: December 4, 2017 "What a Week"

This week was stake conference. I learned so much from that meeting. One of the biggest messages that I took with me was the Restoration and Christmas.

Truly it was the birth of our savior that started it all, hat is what we celebrate this season. in Alma 7:7 it explains the importance of this.

" For behold, I say unto you there be many things to come; and behold, there is one thing which is of more importance than they all—for behold, the time is not far distant that the Redeemer liveth and cometh among his people."

Christ was born. The significance of his birth and who he was is celebrated during Easter. He lived. He died. And he lived Again! Because of this fact Christmas truly is wonderful!!

The restoration and the testimony of Joseph Smith, that the Resurrected Christ came to him in a grove of trees not too far from where I am is just proof that He Lives! It goes to show that Heavenly Father did send us a savior, and through Him we have the chance at a new beginning.

Heavenly Father's plan is like 'the no child left behind act'. He provides so many ways for us to return that truly it is ourselves that choose not to make it. Heavenly Father can't force us to study, work and learn but He loves s so much to place things in our path to encourage us anyway- like the BOOK OF MORMON!

I know that Heavenly Father hears prayers, and in a grove of trees he answered the prayer of a humble boy. I know that during this season we can all strengthen our testimony of our Redeemer as we read from the Book of Mormon and come to know Christ better.

I hope we all can #lighttheworld and express to those we meet the importance of this Christmas season! I hope we can share our love and light- with the book of Mormon!
