May 21, 2018 "Oh How we Need Each Other"

This past Saturday Sister Thomas and I taught at a youth super Saterday. It was quite interesting because the night before we were talking about how we really did not understand our role in this event. We quickly stopped at the church to grab something and ran into the lady incharge of the event! We were able to ask, and then prepare to have a spiritual experience with all the young women who came to our work shop.
The main question that we asked (we did a question and answer with the youth, the men went with the Elders) was, "What are you most worried for about a mission?" I am so grateful for the spirit that was there so that the answers we gave were personalized to the individual.
In a book called "Oh How we Need Each Other" by Sherri Dew, I read a few quotes that got me thinking.
"don't ever allow yourself to be offended by someone who is learning his job." - Marvin J. Ashton
It is true that today as we go about life we cross paths with those who are less experienced, less motivated, just in our eyes-less. The way we judge and view others is how we will be judged. It is the place of those who are farther along the path to patiently let there light shine to lead those who need rescuing or direction.
Everyone was sent to earth for specific reasons. The work of the Lord will not be frustrated nor stopped. Imperfect people are all God has to work with.
Let us gain the vision needed to see the potential and eternal perspective with those we work with.

Faith is believing in something you cannot see, nor completely understand. Hope comes as we exercise our faith. It demonstrates itself in an upbeat and positie manor. As you have a good mindset and attitude, it becomes natural to go out and desire for others to have the same. When we start putting others before ourselves, that is charity.
"Charity is not an emotion or action. It is not something we feel or do. Charity is who the savior is. It is his most defining and dominant attribute. ... when we plead for the gift of charity... We are pleading for our very natures to be changed,... so that we literally feel as He would feel and do as He would do." -Sheri Dew
Truly Charity is a godly gift, and a life changing attribute. Charity never does fail, and service will never go unnoticed by our Heavenly Father. I am so grateful for all the experiences that have been presented to me to nourish my sense of charity.

There are so many people who truly are just learning there job. If we choose to act, instead of react, and show love and service- I know and promise that you will be working in the Lord's vineyard to better the world for His second coming.
I hope this week is full of miracles!
