November 6, 2017 Training!!!!

The Lord truly has blessed me by sending me Sister Vest. She is a wonderful person to train! Just within our first 4 days we had taught about 14 lessons, and Sister Vest was able to encourage someone to actually download the Book of Mormon app!
Something that I have been thinking about  was How music relates very well to the gospel.  A quote from Elder Holland says, "... not all the voices in God's choir are the same... 'all God's critters got a place in the choir.' when we disparage our uniqueness... we lose the richness of tone and the timbre that God intended when He created a world of diversity. Diversity is not a cacophony and choirs do require discipline- but once we have accepted divinely related l lyrics and harmonious orchestration composed before the world was. then our Heavenly Father delights to have us sing in our won voice."
In 2 Nephi 26:33 it says, "... He inviteth them all to come unto him and partake of his goodness; and he denieth none that come unto him..."
In a lesson that we had we related an actual orchestra to the Gospel. In and orchestra there is a first violinist. If done correctly, all the other instruments should listen to each other and follow the lead of the first violin. This person usually has done more practicing, is very aware of the conductor and is able to perfectly hit all the cues.
Jesus Christ is like the first Violinist. He has had the most practice and is able to follow the lead of our Heavenly Father perfectly. If we listen to him and follow his example, then we will never have need to fear of being off beat and out of tune.
I hope that this week we all are able to still ourselves enough to listen to the perfect pitch of our savior and become able to play to our best ability.
