July 10, 2017 What a Week!

This week was full of meeting new people and continuing to familiarize myself with Oneida. There are so many people here who need the Gospel. I know that the field truly is White and ready to harvest. The holiday was wonderful and nothing to crazy happened :)    I wore patriotic socks the entire day and actually made a lady cry to see someone so patriotic- she even let me read her a scripture in 2 Nephi 1 about America and wanted to meet with us again!    The craziest thing happened last night. President Rogers called and told us that a companionship was not getting along and Heavenly Father was assigning Sister Fry to switch places. It has been far to short of a time to serve with sister Fry, but I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for her and that she is needed somewhere else.
The thing that I have really learned about this week was Endurance. Joseph Smith once said, "You are now placed in a situation where you can act according to those sympathies which God has planted in your bosoms. If you live up to these principles how great and glorious! If you live up to your privilege the angels cannot be restrained from being your associated."    What I get from this is that we are all in different situations of our life where we are stretched and pulled in ways as to increase our capacities/ Gifts which we have been given. If we do ALL that we can, If we continue to do our best, and If we hold tight to the Lord's outstretched hand and follow his council- then angels will be our constant companions and Heaven will pour out blessings upon us.
I may not have seen too many things so far while serving the Lord, but I am a witness that this is true. There has never been, nor will be a time that Heavenly Father would leave us alone or with hold the blessings of heaven from us If we do ALL that we are able. We must give our best efforts to the Lord in our callings and duties- He will bless us beyond our expectations.
The world is full of various situations. No one is going to see a problem the same way. But we have a big brother who Knows all the answers, and understands our frustrations- who is more than willing to give His ALL to us. We must prepare ourselves to do the same.
I hope that we can all learn from Christ's ultimate example and always give our ALL. It will always be enough.
