The District!
President called an gave us transfer plans on Saturday, I am being moved down south to Owego New York! I am going to be a sister training leader, and will be able to continue learning and progressing down there with Sister Morley! :)
This week TJ Ladd was baptized!
At the beginning of this past transfer I fasted that Sister Vest and I would be able to find someone and bring them closer to there savior through baptism. We had high hopes for actually 3 different people. None of which were TJ.
A while ago sister Vest and I were stuck inside the appartment and wrote a song called 'Do you want to be baptized?' to the tune of 'Do you want to build a snowman?' We sang it to him and questions just started flying. Next thing I knew TJ had agreed to follow the example of Jesus Christ by being baptized! He had been asked so many times since his wife was baptized last October, but he was finally ready.
On January 19th... boy! The adversary is real. Sister Vest were literally running most everywhere trying to get everything done for the baptism. We had to find pants, pick up cakes, refill the font (because the Elder's filled it with cold water...) Things seemed perfect until about 2 hours before. TJ texted us and told us that He did not want to go through with it anymore. We prayed with all sincerity of our hearts and told the Bishop- the one baptizing him- to call. The Ladd's showed up about an hour and a half early, and things truly did fall into place.
The Lord know's what He is doing. He has a timing for everything. And He does not lie. It is promised that How great will be your joy if you bring one soul unto Him. Sister Vest and I could not stop smiling! Later that Night we asked TJ how he felt... for the first time that I have known him, he told us that he felt a warm and fuzzy inside on Sunday When he received the Holy Ghost!
I KNOW that this church is true. The Ladd family has never been so happy! I know that the blessings promised in the Temple are real. That is the next step.
I hope that we are able to get to the temple this week. My joy is SO great! This is the reason I am out here serving the Lord. This is the reason that I am putting all my time, talents, and energy into His work. I know that He has asked this from each of us when we were baptized. We promised to represent Him, follow Him, and obey Him.
Let us all draw nearer to our savior by allowing others to do the same in the Temple.
